XP-IO 2000 Data Acquisition/Control System
The XP-IO is a general Data Acquisition and Control System for industrial applications. At the core of the system is a powerful 32-bit micro controller which allows extensive processing of various inputs, as well as simple or complex controls of external devices. The system is designed to be operated both stand-alone as well as connected with other systems (e.g. other XP-IO systems, PCs, or other systems via 4-20mA outputs or serial ports).
Custom Applications
The people at Nilsen Consulting are experts in both digital hardware design as well as software development for any type of industrial application. If the current hardware configuration doesn't match your application's needs, ask us about a custom design.
Production Applications
Use the XP-IO to control a pump on your present downhole tool's pressure readings. Also, monitor other surface parameters such as pump amperage, flow, and density. Use the XP-IO's 4-20mA input channels! If you already have a system in place, but need more inputs, interface the XP-IO with its 4-20mA outputs.
The XP-IO is ideal for any closed-loop control application.
Wireline Applications
The XP-IO is ideal for use as a depth monitoring system. Connect it to one or two depth wheel encoders.
The XP-IO is ideal for any closed-loop control application.
MWD Applications
The XP-IO has enough processing capabilities as well as inputs to monitor stand pipe pressure for decoding MWD pressure pulses, a depth encoder, a hookload sensor, RPM, pump strokes, surface torque, and more. The relay output control lines are well suited for surface to downhole communications. We'll custom interface the XP-IO to your host system for a fully integrated MWD surface system.
